Looking for any information relating to my GG Grandparents Patrick & Nancy (Tierney) McCormick of County Cavan. Two known sons; James McCormick (B 1843 IRE D 1919 Omaha NE USA) and my Great Grandfather Andrew McCormick (B 01/03/1847 IRE D 06/04/1928 Ft Benton MT USA). Possible third son Phillip (B 1838 IRE D 11/09/1868 Clinton IA USA).
Believed that James & Andrew immigrated to USA in very late1865 or very early1866 (Ellis Island NY USA). James & Andrew are living in Clinton IA USA in 1870. James spent considerable time in the Omaha NE USA area. Andrew found his way to Montana USA in 1914, having spent a considerable amount of his life in Iowa USA and a short time in Kansas USA.
James & Andrew were both of the Roman Catholic faith during their time in the USA.

Raging Peasants:
I searched the subscription site Roots Ireland and did not find any McCormack/McCormick baptismal records with father Patrick and mother with the surname of Tierney. At least nine of the thiry-one RC parishes in Co.Cavan have records starting 1850 or later and likely your McCormack family attended one of those nine parishes.
There were only six Patrick McCormack records in the 1855 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Co. Cavan. We don't know if your Patrick was alive in 1855 and leasing land. One of the six records was for a Patrick McCormack in Stravicnabo townland in Lavey civil parish. The RC records for Lavey RC parish start in 1867 so this record may be a lead.
I assume Patrick and Nancy stayed in Ireland?
Have you considered DNA testing?
