John Doyle married Bridget (Biddy) Riordan and they had eight children: Cornelius-1862 in Clounclough, John-1864 in Castleisland, Mary-1867 in Brosna, Michael-1869 in Grotroe, Bridget-1871 in Grotroe, Honora-1874 in Brosna, Patrick-1878 in Grotroe and Daniel-1881 in Dromadamore. From research, it appears that Cornelius, Bridget, Patrick and Daniel came to the New York area at different times.
According to Griffith's Valuation, John and Bridget were living on Tea Lane in Listowel as a tenant of Sarah Carroll in 1851.
John Doyle died at 75 on 24 Jan 1890 of "old age" in Dromadamore in the District of Ballyhorgan in Union of Listowel.
Daniel, born in 1881, was my Grandfather and immigrated to the United States on 10 May 1897. In 1902 he married Margaret Dwyer. Unfortunately, he developed Typhoid Fever in 1914 and died, leaving Margaret with four young children.
My father never talked much about his family. By the time I became interested in genealogy, he had died. I assume that there are many decendants of John and Bridget living in Ireland and the United States.
