Hello
I'm trying to locate my Fox ancestors. I'm the ancestot of James Fox and Margaret Larkin. They had a son Joseph Fox who married a Rosina Burns. Any help would be most appreciated.
Thanks

Could you provide some time frames for the two marriages? My searches on the subscription site Roots Ireland do not come up with any records.

Coleen:
I found two possible records up in Co. Armagh on the subscription site Roots Ireland.
Feburary 9 1862 baptism for James Fox Loughgall RC parish father Joseph Fox mother Rose Burns
Sarah Fox baptized June 14 1838 Loughgall RC parish father James Fox mother Margaret Larkin
Is Sarah a brother to Joseph?
Loughgall records start in 1834 for baptisms and 1833 for marriages.
Let me know if these two records are for your family.

Hello Roger
Both are definitely ancestors. Sarah must be Joseph's sister. I didn't know about her. My grandmother's name was Sarah Fox so perhaps she was named after her.
James the son of Joseph and Rose must be my grandfather's brother. Thanks so much for the info it also identifies the parish.Coleen

Hello Roger
Merry Christmas. It has come to my attention that some of my ancestors, James Fox, Margaret Larkin, Joseph Fox and Rosina (Rose) Burns and James Burns and Rose McTaggart may have come from Tartaraghan Parish as well.
Thanks so much for the info you found it had been so appreciated.
