My Great Grandfather was born in Tralee in 1887. His name was James McGee and his parents were Thomas Magee and Margaret Godley McGee. I'm looking for information about Thomas and Margaret. I think Thomas was born in 1858 and Margaret Godley was born in 1853.
Any information I could get would be so appreciated!

RootsIreland shows 8 children for this couple, baptized in the parish of Ballyheigue in Kerry. They lived in Castleshannon.
A Thomas Magee of Castleshannon was baptized 27 July 1857 in the RC parish of Causeway. Father John, mother Mary Casey. Sponsors Michael and Mary Casey (Mary Godley?).
There were a couple of Margaret Godleys in the parish of Causeway—not sure which is yours.

Patricia, thank you for your reply!! I found a Margaret Godley Magee B.1853, but am unsure if she died in 1943. Her father was Richard Godley, Ballyheigue, Kerry, and died in 1881, and her mother Elizabeth (don't know her maiden name)? I think they married in 1831. As for Thomas Magee's parents, I found John Magee and Mary Casey but don't have any birth and death dates for Mary. Many of the 8 children of Thomas immigrated to America and my grandfather James J. McGee was 1 of them.
