Evelyn:
I searched on the subscription site Roots Ireland and the earliest Michael Gorham baptismal record in the west of Galway was in 1857. All of the RC parishes (Clifden, Moyrus, Roundstone, Ballynakill) all have records starting 1838 (Clifden) or later so the baptismal records for Michael and Honora would not be available. The earliest Michael Gorham marriage is in 1860.
You may want to consider a DNA test.

Evelyn,
I attach some records which may assist in locating your descendants. They are pre 1850 for Relief loans. The cemetery dates vary.
You should ask your local library if they can get you a copy of The Protestant Missions in Connemara 1848- 1937. While it will not give you details of Michael Gorham, it will give you information that may connect to him.
Many address names were changed following Griffith's Land Valuation 1840-1860.

McCoy
