JOHN MCGARRY, Connaught Rangers, died on 14 Aug 1917 at his family home at Gortmellia, Belmullet, Co Mayo. He was the son of Patrick and Ellen McGarry; Patrick was a farmer. John had a number of siblings including Bridget, Owen, Ellen (Eleanor), Maria and Honor. Although his death was due to illness incurred on war service he was not commemorated as a War Casualty.
Can anyone tell me where John McGarry is buried? Any help would be much appreciated.

They might be able to tell you what cemetery was close to Gortmellia.
