Has any person 'discovered' that their Irish ancestor first travelled to NZ (...because of Gold rush on West Coast of Sth Island, in particularin the location: Hokitika); then went across to Victoria or NSW after the gold rush/es in NZ, turned out to be a 'fizzer' compared to those rushes in Victoria and NSW?
I found a Thomas Dwyer who travelled from Tipperary to NZ in abt 1864-5 [vessel name unknown]; then across to Melbourne (Hobson's Bay), Victoria on the ship, Albion arriving on 25th May 1866.
Has anyone got any tips for srchng NZ immigration data collections?
Regard, Bryan Dwyer

Brian,
The National Library of New Zealand in Wellington may give you some of the information you are seeking.
Check: natlib.gov.nz There are a number of Sites listed on Google which may also be of assistance.

Thanks for the immigration detail. I'm planning to move my family to New Zealand. For this, I have read about getting citizenship through investment. Whether you’re a business owner, real estate investor, property entrepreneur, or just a regular person with a global mindset, consider applying to get a residency. This article https://immigrantinvest.com/residence-en/ describes an economic citizenship scheme to acquire new citizenship for you and your family. You can get assistance for your case.
