Egan\Jordan

Alice:

I searched for the church marriage record on the subscription site Roots Ireland and did not find a record. I also searched all Bridget Egan civil marriage records from 1864-1880 and did not locate one where the groom was James Joyce.

What year did they marry?

Sorry it was supposed to be James Jordan 1837. They were married in Feb 2 1865. Would like to know who Bridget parents were.  Thank you

Since Bridget was married in Bekan chapel, I presumed she was baptized in that church. I searched the subscription site Roots Ireland and there were two possible leads.

Bridget Egan baptized August 30 1837 Bekan father Patrick Egan mother Ellen Griffin

Bridget Egan baptized December 5 1838 Bekan father Patrick Egan mother Bridget Waldron

Do you have names of siblings maybe I can eliminate one of the records?

My great grandmother Catherine Egan/Eagney born1942.  I believe her parents are Patrick and Sarah or Mary?   Catherine was married to a Andrew Kenny.   If this helps any.  Would like to know the Mother's name if you find it.  Thank you

 There is a Catherine Egan baptized May 5 1842 with father Patrick Egan and mother Mary Concannon. The RC parish was Kilcolman (Claremorris) which is near Bekan. That Catherine had a sister Bridget baptized on June 22 1840.  So likely this is the Bridget who married James Jordan. There were at least four other siblings: Honor 1846 Thomas 1854 Ellenor 1856 Patrick 1859.
