Patrick Foley Tralee

Patrick:

The initial searches that I have made to the free site www.irishgenealogy.ie has failed to locate a baptismal record for Patrick Foley with the parents names you listed as possible. The only 1885 Patrick Foley civil birth record in the Tralee registration district is this January 1885 record with parents Patrick Foley and Ellen Ahern

I was not able to locate a John Foley marriage to a Mary Dowling or Hawley.

Do you know the names of any siblings? Did Patrick leave Ireland after 1901?

There is no parents shown here and I cannot find a baptismal but that is not unusual due to the pressures from this time until 1900. However I should tell you that my searches for Patrick Foley in Kerry showed 6,989 and in Tralee alone showed 282. 

The two shown here above are the nearest to the date that you gave. Are you absolutely sure of this date?

I would be prepared to send for this certificate because you will get the parents, incl mother's nee name and their occupations at the time of the birth and of course a proper address.

The birth record for the 1885 Patrick Foley is shown at the link in my initial comments above. All births registered from 1864-1920 are available on the free site www.irishgenealogy.ie   Non-RC marriages from 1845-1863 and all marriages from 1864-1945 are available on the site. For deaths from 1864-1970 are also on the site although 1864-1870 deaths are just index records for now.

I checked www.irishgenealogy.ie  and did not see an 1886 Patrick Foley birth in the Tralee registration district.

Thank you for the responses.The May 9th,1885 birthdate for Patrick Foley is confirmed and I couldnt locate the birth records either.
