Hi
Im trying to find some more detail on Emma Banger B.1852, her father was James Banger B.1833. I cant find any detail of the mother.
Emma married my Great Great Grandfather John Morton, and together they ran a pub at 3 Harry Street Dublin. They had many children. almost all of whom died, except for my great Grandfather, John Morton.
There is possibly one child of theirs who also survived called Sarah Kathleen Morton, I only suspect this as i cant find the death certificate for her.
If anyone could help me trace something more on James and Emma i would be grateful.
Thanks
Siobhan

Siobhan,
Attached marriage record of Emma Banger to John Morton in 1867. (You probably have this already, but someone may identify the Witnesses)
I have checked for a marriage of James Banger with negative result. He is described as a farmer.
I will check for any land record which may give a clue as to his residence. www.findmypast.ie has not shown any record.
The family appear to be non catholic, so you will need to have the Church of Ireland records checked.

Siobhan,
No record of a property found for James Banger in Dublin in Griffith's Valuations.
Attached are references to the surname "Banger" in Ireland 18th and 19th century.

Hello
thanks so much for all the investigating.
I hadnt noticed about the church, Im thinking then maybe he came from England? Hence why we are struggling to find a birth record for Emma or marriage detail for him?
Emmas husband John Morton and family were all raised as Catholics so its a bit unusual isnt it?
Anything else you did up i would be grateful for.
Regards
Siobhan
