I think you need to use sites like familysearch.org and Ancestry.com to try to clarify understand the connection between with John McMorrow and John McNamara in America.

Roger, thanks for your reply. I'm a member of both sites. However I have been unable to confirm that the two Johns are one in the same person. Other than the records I previously  stated the only other record is John McNamara obit stating he was from Leitrim . I have no information regarding John"s & Rose's parents or siblings other than to guess based on their childrens names.

Roger I only have suspicions based things in common  1 rose, 2 Leitrim 3 age.  John McMorrow disappears from all census records and John McNamara doesn't appear in the census till 1870 in my home town.  So Batism records  only information from 1848 arrivial till 1870 census. John & Rose children are James, Isabella , Alice Rose, Joseph, Francis & Mary  Local state 8 children 7 living.

Roger  DNA has not produced any Mc connection or Ireland connections.

I posted this just hoping for information that until now has eluded me.

Roger , that never crossed my mind. Anything is possible.  though the why is also a question. My real goal is to confirm McMorrow & McNamara are one in the same..  I just don't know how to accomplish it. John and Rose are a brick wall for me. Their parents and sibling are a complete mystery to me.
