Hello! I'm an Irish-American looking for information on my ancestors, who left Ireland five generations ago. Their names were Bridget Graham, Michael Gibbons, and Ellen Hayes, and I know they hailed from Ballina and Skibbereen, but I don't know much else about them. Would anyone have any info?
I'm also looking to travel to Skibbereen later this spring and would love to meet just any volunteers to chat a bit about the work you do. I find it fascinating! Let me know if anyone wants to grab a coffee :)

I just spoke to my grandmother and it turned out she actually had a bit more information about my Skibbereen line:
The names I'm looking for are William J. Danahy and Ellen Hayes. These two are on my grandmother's father's side of the family. The Danahys came to San Francisco from Philadelphia in the 1870s. I don't know where that line was from in Ireland. But my grandma did know that William J. Danahy married Ellen Hayes from Skibbereen in San Francisco in 1880-90. My father has their passport photos taken for their trip back to Skibbereen in 1933.
Turns out the Gibbons/Graham names are from Ballina, so I assume they're not relevant on this message board.
My grandma said she might have some more information on Ellen Hayes and would get back to me in a bit about this. I'll post when I've got anything else!
