Hello Everyone,

I have a few old letters from the 1950's that some relatives sent to the states.

The address on the letters is 9 Castlerosse Lee, Killarney, Co Kerry

The only results I get when I search for "Castlerosse" is "The Castlerosse Hotel" which was built around 1960.

Could this be the same property before the hotel was built?

Thanks for any info.

  • I believe the abbreviation is not Lee, but "Tce." is for Terrace.

  • Sean:

I located this site which has the 1926 electors in Killarney town.  http://www.igp-web.com/Kerry/elkill3.html

The site shows Castlerosse Terrace on page 3. There were six people listed living on Castlerosse Terrace, 3 Moynihans, two Ryans and a Phillips.
