My GGGrandfather Philip MccBride married Catherine Ryan , both from the parish of Gortnahoe, Tipperary in 1846. Afterwards they moved to Croan, Kilkenny where they lived out their lives. I have no family background as to their parents, siblings etc and would dearly love to know any details. I found a marriage record dated 15/2/1846 in church records which literally says Phillip McBride married Catherine Ryan in the presence of Robert McBride. IIt does not state the relationship of Robert, ie brother, father . I also came across the mention of a Margaret, possible sister of Catherine Ryan. Any help greatly appreciated as I have reached a wall.
Phillip born 1821 (approx) died 27/5/1878 Kilkenny
Catherine born 1825 died 9/3/1909.

I searched the subscription site FindMyPast.ie and did not find a Philip McBride baptismal record in Co. Tipperary. I also looked for a Catherine Ryan baptismal record in Gortnahoe since marriages were normally held in the bride's parish and the only Catherine Ryan baptismal records in that parish were in 1815 and 1818 which appear to be too early for your purposes. Thank you Roger for your attempts to assist me, perhaps I will never know any more detail and the journey ends here, the difficulty of course is not knowing Phillip's parents names, I would only be guessing who they were but thank you once again
