Interested in the family of my potential, 2x great grandmother, Mary Hourihane, born in Caheragh circa 1830. Married Timothy Donovan, Leal, again in Caheragh circa 1850.

Tullig Man:
The free site www.irishgenealogy.ie has a February 8 1853 marriage at Caheragh parish for Timothy Donovan and Mary Hourihan. Witnesses were Ellen Hourihan and Bat Hourihan.
I located three 1829 baptismal records for a Mary Hourihan in Caheragh. Possibly one of the three records is for your ancestor.

Tullig Man:
My maternal grandmother, Mary Hourihan (Hourihane on some records) had parents Timothy Patrick Hourihan and Hannah Donoghue. Timothy was a tailor. Timothy Patrick Hourihane was born 1872. His parents were Timothy Patrick Hourihane and Anne Kelly. This Timothy was also a tailor and was nicknamed Thad. He was born about 1835. I believe Timothy's parents were Patrick Hourihan and Mary Ninane. They would be my great-great-great grandparents. Their children were named: Patrick, John, Katherine, Julia, Mary, Timothy, and Jeremiah.

Both our dates would appear to correspond, as would the locality. I live in Abertawe, Cymru (Swansea, Wales), but bost sides of my family are from West Corcaigh originally. I have done a DNA test and my Gedmatch number is : UG6563257, incase you are in a position to compare. Hopefully, we will find a match here, one way or another! Hwyl fawr/ slan Keith
