I'm visiting in December and would love to meet any family that is there. My great-great-grandfather Dennis J Carroll immigrated from Cork, Ireland to America on October 30, 1922. He married in 1927 and had my great-grandma (who's still alive) in 1935. His father was John D Carroll born in 1851 in Brosna, Kerry, Ireland. He married Julia Desmond on February 4, 1883. John and Julia had 9 children. His parents were David Carroll and Kate Kelleher. He had 7 siblings.

Irishshewold:
Here is the 1883 civil marriage record. The father of John Carroll was John Carroll.

I tried finding the family in the 1911 census. Is this the correct record. http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Cork/Clondrohid/Garran…

Below is a link to John Carroll’s 1884 birth registration in Co. Cork. He was your Denis's brother. The Carroll family lived in Bridgemount townland.

Here is the location of Bridgemount:

Patricia, the Bridgemount you provided a link to is located between Claremorris & Castlebar Co Mayo, how does this relate to a birth registered in County Cork?

The birth was registered in the Slievereagh Registers area in the Union of Macroom County Cork and Slievereagh is located beyond Ballyvourney travelling from Macroom on the right hand side of the road. I am not sur of the following but I think Bridgemount referred to a house name in that area. I will check it when I have more time.
