I have read with interest the latest IrelandXO message regarding the Irish Freeholders list, and it has certainly produced some gems for my research.
One question please: At what age could you apply to register a freehold? Was it 21 as per voting or did another age limit apply? I don't recall seeing anywhere an age restriction on leasing or owning land?
It will help me to differentiate between generations of people with the same name

Hi Brian:
I am not aware of any age requirement other than full age which would have been 21. Land held by minors or others would have been held in trust.
