I have found reference to my ancestor John Green of Milterane as being a leaseholder in Milterane (Daniel Kelly), lease dated 1 March 1824, granted for life.
I have also found an article in the Roscommon newspaper referring to the property being sold (lot 13).
Do you have any information about the Cargins Estate, also who bought the leasehold properties referred to in the paper?

Sorry, my brain was tired, got overexcited about finding possible ancestors!
John Green, Pat Green and Bryan Green all had land in Milterane (Daniel Kelly) held by leases dated 1 March 1824, part of a lot 13. Found this info in FindmyPast, Irish landed estate court files vol 15 doc 42.
The Roscommon and Leitrim Gazette refers to the sale of the said lot forming part of The Cargins Estate (can't find it again but was around 1850ish).
Said paper dated May 9th 1829 contains reference to a James Greene of Frenchpark concerning the Catholic Relief Bill, not sure if he is related.
I am trying to find out more about the sale and what happened to the tenant farmers, also the extent of The Cargin Estate.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Gill, Attached some detail on the Cargisn Estate - County Roscommon c1852.
I have not found any reference to the townland of Milterane in Griffith's Valuations.

The townland of Milterane in now known as Meeltraun (Daniel Kelly).
Please see the owners in Griffith's Valuations (Hanley and Patrick Greene)
To get details of present owners you will need to contact the Land Registry.
It appears that Roscommon records are held in Waterford?
