Looking for information on his birth or baptism between 1848-1850. In 1869 he was living in Ballycally or Ballycalla, Clare The parish was Kilconry,. This information was from Newmarket on Fergus Court House records. He appeared in court with two other McMahons, Patrick and Thomas all from Ballycally, I found a possible baptism for Patrick and Thomas in Newmarket on Fergus records, Patrick in January 1846 and Thomas in 1851. but nothing for Laurence McMahon. His parents were Patrick McMahon and Bridget (Biddy) Rouhan or Roughan, In the 1901 Irish Census the village of Bally Calla on had 13 properties with only 11 being occupied. There was a Bridget McMahon age 73 born abt 1828 in the 1901 Bally Calla census. She was not on the 1911 Census so may have died between 1901 and 1911. No information on Laurence will be found in County Clare after 1873 as he left Plymouth, England for Australia In July 1873 arriving in Melbourne, Victoria, in September 1873.

Mekjensen,
I attach a record of a Laurence McMahon baptised in Newmarket-on-Fergus on August 11th 1842.
His father is recorded as Patt McMahon and his mother as Mary Crowe.
There is a record of a Laurence McMahon having married a Mary Liddy in Newmarket-on-Fergus on November 11th 1832.
Do you have details of Laurences' parents from his marriage or death records.Civil records in Ireland are from January 1st 1864. Church of Ireland marriages are from 1845.
Regards,
