Dear Blinnie:
Thank you for your post.
I see from the Tulla transcribed parish registers available online through the Clare Library that JamesHarrison and Mary Bolton had a number of children born in the Leitra area which was located in the townland of Tyredagh Upper. I see that there is a civil death record for a James Harrison who died 23 December 1887 aged 89. Here is the link: https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/deaths_returns/deaths_1888/06184/4767938.pdf
You will note that this civil death record is incorrectly listed in the Galway Registration District, but the record itself has Tulla Registration district. This is an error that the General Register Office is supposed to fix. If you believe that this is your James Harrison, there is also a headstone that you might be interested in the Historic Graves website. The link to 2 Harrison family graves (side by side) is here:

Please feel free to contact me here at; tulla@irelandxo.com for further information. I will be able to assist you further.
All the best,
Jane

Belinda,
To add to Jane's Post, attached is a parish record of a Martin Harrison being baptised in Tulla in August 1835. Parents: James Harrison and Mary Balton. The address is not clear.
According to Surnames of Ireland by Dr. Edward MacLysaght, the surname "Bolton" is in Ireland since mediaeval times. It is derived from an English place name. It is fairly fairly numerous in all provinces.
In County Clare it has become "Balton".
Tulla parish recordsd are from 1819, so it is unlikely that you will find any birth record for James Harrison. They can be accessed at catholicparishregisters@nli.ie - National Library
There is a record of a William Harrison in Betham's Abstracts which appears to be Garruaugh, Co. Clare for 1791 which may refer to Tulla parish.

Belinda,
Attached record in relation to Garruragh Estate, Tulla.
The name "James" or "Patrick" do not appear in the record.
In my post to you on September 12th 2021, I mentioned "Patt Harrison" in the Tithe Records for Tyredagh Upper 1826. A James and Martin
are recorded at the end of the pageCould he be a member of the Garruragh family?
In his Will in 1856, John Harrison of Kilnoe requested that he be buried in either the Tulla church or grounds.
