Not sure what information you are looking for. I did search the free site www.irishgenealogy.ie and located some siblings to the Patrick Scannell you located: Eliza 1830 Mary 1834 William 1836 (died young?) William 1842 Did not see a marriage record for William Scannell and Honora Lane.
Are you sure the 1840 Patrick Scannell is the same person who married in Skibbereen in 1859? Patrick's first son was Timothy and normally (but not always) the first son would be named after his grandfather in this case William.

Thank you for your message Roger, I am not 100% certain that my Patrick Scannell 1840 is the son of William and Honora. However there are no other
Patrick Scannells of that period to be found in Cork. The question of the name Timothy is of interest because on the marriage certificate for my great grandparents
which i will attach to this message are witnesses Timothy Burke and Mary Sweeny. You say you are not sure what I am looking for and the answer to that is where my great grandparents
were from, all I have is their marriage certificate. I have tried in vain to find records of place and birth.
Thank you again Graham son of Caterine Scannell

Graham:
Marriages usually were held in the bride's parish so possibly Mary Cronin's baptismal record could be in Skibbereen. However, Mary Cronin is a very common name and not having her parents names complicates your search.
I searched the free site www.irishgenealogy.ie (Church Record Tab) and there were three Patrick Scannell baptismal records in Skibbereen. The years were 1825 1827 1829.

Thank you again Roger, I was aware of the numerous Mary Cronin,s and your right it does make things more difficult. The details of Patrick Scannell births
in Skibbereen however might lead me to my Patrick,s possible father, perhaps the Heritace Centre at Skibbereen might come up with something and I have used
them in the past. Best wishes Graham
