I'm trying to find information on my GG Grandfather John Sullivan, I think he was born in the 1820s or early 30s. My GG grandfather came to America and moved Maine. My G Grandfather John L. Sullivan was born Oct 11, 1854 in Maine and died in 1908 in Michigan. On My G grandfather on all his records it says John Sullivan born in Ireland and mother unknown but born in Ireland. I would love to learn about my grandparents. I don't even know if my G grandfather had a brothers or sisters. Any information is appreciated.

Tia:
John Sullivan is/was a very common name in Ireland and we would need to know his parents names in order to search and see if we could locate a baptismal record for him.
I think your best bet is to test your DNA and see if you have any matches on your Sullivan line that might have more information on your gr gr grandfather. More than likely he came from either Co. Cork or Co. Kerry.

Thank you, I had this information. The genealogist told me that this family was not related to him, and if it was I still don't know where they came from in Ireland. I appreciate your help.
Thanks
