Catholic Parish records not online?

Why don't you let us know the names and dates of your ancestors and either Patricia or I will see if Roots Ireland has any data for them. It may be that their records pre-date the earliest records available for their parish.

You should find the information you need on John Grenham’s site. Click on each parish, and it will tell you whether the records are on-line. An example of one in Co. Down that is not is Blaris. They reportedly have records from 1840 onwards but they have never been microfilmed or transcribed and the parish still has the only copy.

The names are -

1. Mary Mulholland
2. Margaret Mulholland
3. Arthur Mulholland

I believe they were born in that order circa 1820-1835.

Other details that may be useful -

• Each had children named Martin and Mary Ann which makes me think those could be their parents names?
• All are from County Down

I searched two subscription sites and did not find the baptismal records for the Mulhollands. Did Arthur Mulholland stay in Ireland. There are three Arthur Mulholland records in the Griffiths Valuation head of household listing.
