I am researching John Smyth and Bridget Connel. their sons, Edward, Peter and Thomas. Originally they were in the Ballinabracky-Castlejordan area but my last finding has John & Bridget in Kentstown. Edward married Elizabeth Conway and moved to Brooklyn, NY around 1848, They were my great-grandparents.

The records for Cloughjordan parish start in 1833. The three sons and the marriage likely occurred pre-1833 which means no records would be available if the events happened in Cloughjordan. Where was the Kentstown in your message? There are only two Kentstown townlands in Ireland, one in Galway and the other in Meath.

I found the baptism record for Edward in Ballinabracky. The Kentstown I found was in Meath near Navan.
