Hi,
I’m searching for information on Honora Moore, nee Gaffney. Honora was born, 4 March 1799 to Edward Gaffney and Mary Byrne, in Avoca. She married John Moore, 22 November 1818, also in Avoca, and had at least 3 children: Ellen (17/10/1818), Michael (14/12/1823) and Eliza (11/11/1827).
In trying to track down the Moore family, in particular John (c1798), and came across references to a Honor / Honory / Honora Moore / Moor, a widow in the Tithe of 1826 and 1838, for Ballinvally – Killahurler, see attached. Are there any insights I may be able to draw from the Tithe regarding Honora? What would be the likely connection to James Grimes referenced in the Tithe of 1838? Could this Honora be the widow of John Moore, although being born, married and having children in Avoca? Are there any other resources I could search for John and Honora?
Many thanks, Mark.

I don't believe the Honory Moor/Moore you located would be the widow of John Moore for two reasons. If John and Honora had a child in November 1827 then John would have been alive for the 1826 Tithe records. Also, people who were RC and lived in Killahurler civil parish would have attended Arklow RC parish not Avoca RC parish. So I believe this Honor/Honory Moor/Moore is not your ancestor.
