Thank You for reading. I am trying to find what parish in Tipperary Patrick Doolan/Doolin is from, any tips or help would be truly life changing. This is what I know.. Patrick Doolin b. Abt 1835 married Catherine Green (e) b. Abt 1838 Roman Catholic. I do not know if married in Ireland or Canada approx 1855-1858. I found them in the Canada Census of 1861 in Ontario, Lincoln, Niagara with sons William b. 1859 Ontario and Thomas b. 1860 Ontario. I next find them in Lockport, Niagara, New York, United States of America in 1865. Patrick was a Blacksmith and mustered into the US Civil war. He was wounded. Catherine died between 1868-1870. In the in between they had more children all boys born in New York. Daniel, Thomas (not sure if Thomas b. In Ontario died or if this is the same Thomas), Frederick, and James. All were dispersed to catholic orphanages in New York

I searched on the subscription site FindMyPast.ie and did not locate a lead for the marriage record. Likely they met and married in America. Also, there are a number of Patrick Doolan/Dillon/Dallon/Dolan baptismal records around 1835 and without knowing the parents names, we can't confirm any of these records.
Have you considered DNA testing? Possibly you will have matches on the Doolan/Green line which might give you clues regarding the family in Ireland.
