Looking for parents of a Bridget McAulliffe b. 8Feb.1846/47 in Cork Ireland! Came to United States with her parents (no names) in 1849/50! Her father died (no name) when she was a child and her mother (no name) in her early girlhood! NO record of her until she was married in Cleveland, Ohio in 1863 to a Richard Farrar! Bridget became a prominent midwife in Kansas in the 1870s! She learned her nurses training from a cousin (no name) in a Catholic hospital in Cleveland! ANY help would be truly appreciated! Want to go to Ireland and see where she was born but don't have a clue to who her parents were! Thanks in advance!

Colleen:
There are more than 10 Bridget McAuliffe baptismal records in 1846-1847 in Co. Cork but without parents names, we can't confirm a record.
I think your best approach is to test your DNA and hopefully you will have some matches with 3rd-4th cousins on your McAuliffe line.

Colleen,
If you are sure about the date of February 8, there was a Bridget McAuliffe baptised in Newmarket on Feb 8 1846. Her parents were Daniel McAuliffe and Mary Costello. There was no other Bridget McAuliffe baptised on February 8 1846 or 1847 in Cork. There was also Johanna with the same parents who was baptised in 1843.
Best wishes, Kieran

Thanks for everyone’s info! I think I have to somehow go to Cleveland, Ohio where she was supposed to learn her nursing from a “cousin…no name” in a Catholic hospital in Cleveland and married between Jan. and June in 1863 in Cleveland, Ohio but can’t find any records! I REALLY want to find out her parents names that she came to the US with when she was 2 yrs old! No siblings ever mentioned and both parents dead before she married in 1863! I live in Calif. so don’t know when I could get to Cleveland! Don’t even have any idea where they came into the US at! Horrible brick wall but determined to find them before I meet them on the other side! LOL
