I'm looking for information on my 3X great grandfather William McMurray, born 1796 in Co. Monaghan, Ireland possibly Cornamucklaglass. He married my 3X great grandmother, Mary, last name unknown and came to Canada by 1830 where their first child was born. They both died in Canada (Ancaster, Ontario). I'm hoping to find Mary's last name, possibly marriage registration and hopefully siblings/parents of both of them . They were not Catholic in Canada so I am assuming they were not Catholic in Ireland either. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,
Are you sure they left by 1830? I found a marriage in Clones, Co. Monaghan, on 29 March 1833 for William McMurray of Drumskelt, Aughnamullen, and Mary Whiteman of Longfield . (source: rootsireland.ie)
I also found a child born to this couple who was baptized in the Church of Ireland in Ballybay.

I appreciate your input, Initially I thought the oldest was born in Ireland with them leaving later around 1836ish but a family member said I was wrong. I'll go back over what I have and what my family has to see if that might fit....... Thank you!
