GenDarm:
Did they have any children in Ireland? Do you have Bridget's maiden name?

GenDarm,
I found a record for a Michael Darmody with a wife and four children arriving on the Birman to SA on 7 Dec 1840 on the www.bound-for-south-australia.collections.slsa.sa.gov.au.
Only his first name is listed though. Did he die on 5 May 1865 in Mt. Barker, So. Aust.? If this is your relation, there is a tree on the free site www.familysearch.org which shows his parents as well as his ten siblings. Of note is that his sister, also a Bridget, emigrated to So. Aust. and died in Mt. Barker as well.
Hopefully this is your family!
Carolyn
