Hello I wonder if you can help me I am looking for 2 sisters who were both nuns at the Convent of Mercy in the 40’s, my mother Ann Kelleher knows they were related to her from her mothers side who were from Clare and one of them was Sister Margaret Mary and she cannot remember the other ones name. My mother said they both left the convent and were both sent abroad to do there work and she never heard anything since. My mothers side were Halpins and McMahon, does anyone remember them or have records and would anyone know what happened to them?

Your mother may know this story......
In the big Hotel in Gort, I am not saying what it is called, there is a tree and most of the children aroung the 40's and 50's would carve their names in this tree.
It was in the grounds in the back of the hotel.
Are you related to Gerald...Gerry?

Hi Margot,
yes my mother and the rest of the Kellehers lived on Church st, there were 8 children in total and GErry was one of them who sadly passed away in March 21 and is buried with his parents, my grandparents in Gort, howdo you know the Kellehers?

Hi, Gerry's wife......Alice/Angela, her mother is/was my Great Aunt.
Gerry and his daughter came to see us a few years ago. I keep in touch with the daughter.
