Hello,
I'm researching William Conroy born in County Mayo about 1815 and died in Urbana, OH. He had a brother named Martin born 25 Dec 1816 who died in Logansport, IN. He possibly had another brother named Charles. William died before there were standardized death records in the US but Martin does have a death record. His father is listed as Bryan, mother's name was unknown.
Can you see if you can find this family.

Hello Mary Jo,
I looked at some records on Ancestry for William and for the Martin in Indiana. Neither of them had a son named Bryan, which makes me think that Bryan was not the father's name--even if the person who gave info for the death cert thought it was. According to Irish naming patterns, the first son would have been named after the paternal grandfather, but neither William or Martin named any of their sons Bryan.
