I think I might have made a breakthrough in finding my 2 X Great Grandfather's family back in County Tipperary.
On records from Roots Ireland I found Michael Walsh being baptized on 27 July 1823 in Thurles, Tipperary. His parents are listed as Thomas Walsh and Anastasia Brien. This lines up with naming patterns for Michael's children.
I've also found records for his potential siblings: William (1814), Pearce (1815), John (1818) and Catherine (1830). I also believe there is Bridget (1820), and Ellen (1826), but I haven't found definitive baptismal records for them yet.
Michael's record indicates this baptism took place in the Cashel/Emly Diocese.
Now I'm looking for a marriage record for Thomas Walsh and Anastasia Brien. I can't find one on Roots Ireland as it's not providing Catholic marriage records for Tipperary. Am I doing something wrong here? Any suggestions on where else to look. Please advise.
You have been so very kind over the past few months. I'll always be grateful to you.
With much thanks,
Jerry

Jerry:
I searched on Roots Ireland and the subscription site FindMyPast.ie and did not find the marriage record which might go back pre-1814. It is very possible that the home parish for Anastasia does not have records available back to that period.
FYI I was able to find marriage records for Co. Tipperary on Roots Ireland. There are a number of parishes in Co. Tipperary in the Diocese of Cashel and Emly which do not have records on Roots Ireland probably due to a decision by the Bishop. However, the records for these parishes are on the FindMyPast site and should also be on Ancestry.com
Let me know if you have questions.
