I am looking for information/birth/marriage on John O'Brien born around 1782 in Abington, Limerick. I would like to know who he married and any possible children that can be found. And any other information such as where he is buried if possible. He may have a son name Patrick born around 1825 who married a Catherine Slattery.

GDickey:
The RC parish for people living in Abington civil parish would be Murroe and Boher. Records for that parish start in 1814. I searched the subscription site Roots Ireland only for Murroe and Boher records. The only Patrick O'Brien record in that parish with a father John was a Patrick O'Brien baptized March 20 1832. The mother was Bridget Hayes. I was unable to find any other baptismal records for siblings.
I could not locate a marriage record for this couple. I also did not locate a Patrick O'Brien marriage to a Catherine Slattery anywhere in Co. Limerick.
Have you considered DNA testing?

Hello GDickey,
Having been born around 1782, John O'Brien would have been in his early 40s when his son Patrick was born circa 1825. Do you think that Patrick may have been born sevral years before 1825?
The reason I ask is that a marriage transcription from the Find My Past (FMP) website shows that a Patrick O'Brien and a Catherine Slattery were married on 19 February 1833, but not in County Limerick. The marriage took place in the Catholic Parish of St. Mary's, Clonmel. The church is in the town of Clonmel, County Tipperary, but the Catholic Parish spans the border of South Tipperary and North Waterford, with the larger area of the parish located in County Tipperary.
You can see the area that the St. Mary's, Clonmel Catholic Parish covers in South Tipperary and North Waterford, on the attached Catholic Parish map from the National Library of Ireland website. The parish is highlighted in orange.
You'll be able to view the marriage transcription at the FMP website after establishing a free account at: https://tinyurl.com/3bxz3wxm
First names in the marriage record are in Latin. Patrick is spelled Patritius and Catherine, Catherina.
Clonmel is a little over 40 miles southeast of Abington, County Limerick. See the Google Map: https://tinyurl.com/vy3c7kr7
I next found the FMP baptism transcription for Patrick and Catherine's daughter, Margaret, spelled "Margaritam," in the baptism. Margaret was baptized in the St. Mary's, Clonmel Catholic Parish on 8 December 1833. See the transcription at: https://tinyurl.com/ht5m7ysw
Did any of your O'Brien ancestors move from County Limerick to County Tipperary or County Waterford to your knowledge?

Thank you for checking on this issue for me. I am not certain if there was a move to Tipperary, but will continue to research and see if I can find further information. I appreciate your time and effort.
