I am researching Dixon /Mullally .
Patrick Mullally married Mary Harpur, they lived in Enniscorthy, their daughter Mary Eliza Mullally married PTE James Dixon in parish of St Michael Gorey, it stated James Dixon was a native of Gorey but lived in Queenstown as he was a soldier. on the 15th February 1917. They had 5 children,
Moira/Mary, Anna Maria, Thomas,
James born 15 July 1921 in Drumgoold Wexford
Patrick born 24th February 1924 in Drumgoold Wexford.
Mary Dixon my grandmother died on 10 march 1924 a month after Patrick was born.
I have not been able to find birth certificates for of the three children one is my mother Anna Maria, I am assuming this is her correct name, the children were all put into industrial schools except for Thomas who i believe lived with the Mullally's and took there surname. I do not know what happened to my Grandfather James Dixon.
I have contacted the Registary Office in Ireland and they informed me that they could not find birth certificate for my mother Anna Maria, although i have found a note saying that she was Baptized I do not know where this took place?
My mother died in 1959 when i was five and I have been researching for about 25 years to no avail or met with brick walls. i would be grateful if anyone has any knowledge or information to help me learn my mother and family history thankyou

Roseleen, Irish Civil record for marriage of Pte James Dixon to Mary Mullaly on 15th February 1917 in Gorey. Entry No. 151 Pte James Dixon is described as 25 years of age and a soldier. His father is recorded as James Dixon - Shoemaker Mary Mullaly is described as 22 years of age. Her father is recorded as Patrick Mullaly - Labourer Witnesses: John Acton and Hannah Mullaly Have you checked the British Army Records, assuming he continued serving in the British Army. I will check for the birth records of the children and get back to you if I find any. Regards,
McCoy
