Hi
I am looking for information on my Great Aunt Johanna Sinnott, born 31st March 1900, in Crane Ferns Wexford. I know she got married in 1927 to John Joseph Cushen and died in1984.
I can't find a birth or census for her. She doesn't show on the 1901 census with her parents.
I have found a census (1911) with her parents, Patrick and kate Sinnott (Gainfort), Joanna's sister Mary Kate (my Grandmother)and brother William are on the form with three other brothers I can't trace.I would appreciate any help with this as this lovely lady was a big part of my life growing up .thanks mick

Mick: Patrick Sinnott and Kate Gainfort were married July 22 1900. I guess it is possible that they had a child before the marriage but there is no baptismal record or civil birth record or 1901 census record or 1911 census record. Is it possible that Johanna was "adopted" by Patrick and Kate officially or unofficially after March 31 1911 when the census was taken? Roger. Thank you for your reply. Anything is possible. The only Johanna I have found matching the date of birth was a 'Joanna' Sinnott but she was living with a family called O'neil in the 1901 census where she was down as a visitor. Alas the trail seems to end there.I Thank you for your help. Mick

RootsIreland gives the transcription of Johanna's baptism. She was baptized in 1904, not 1900.

Hi Patricia. Thank you for your reply to my post yesterday. The information you gave me seems to be the Johanna Sinnott I have been looking for. Hopefully this will lead to more findings. Thank you Mick.
