My 4th a great grandfather DENNIS MULCHAY was born in Carrignavar 9 Jun 1828 ( there is discrepancy on this the State of Wi listed his birth date as 24December 1827
He immigrated to America in 1843. He lived in Hudson NY and then Dane, Wisconsin. He married Catherine Galvin. He died 21 August 1913.
Dennis is the 1st known ancestor to come to America. I am hoping to learn of his parents and other family members.

Carrignavar is in the civil parish of Dunbulloge. The related RC parishes in the 19th century would be either Glanmire or Watergrasshill. Glanmire has records back to 1806 and Watergrasshill records start in 1835. I believe Carrignavar parish started later.

I searched on the free site irishgenealogy.ie and could not locate a Denis Mulcahy baptismal record in Glanmire parish.
