Hello, I am attempting to trace my Cork family ancestry and found United States naval records pertaining to my great grandfather John J Murphy, in 1890, in which he listed his next of kin Anna in a specific “city” in County Cork. The records appear to phonetically transcribe the place name, possibly Killeah McC….
Based on your knowledge of the Cork region, would anyone have an idea where he was referring to in the place listed in the attached images?

It looks to me that it might be the townland now called Kealkill, about which you can find more info here:

The Irish form of the name is An Chaolchoill (the "narrow wood"), but you can see at logainm.ie that it has been anglicized in many ways, including both Kealahill and Kealkill in the mid-19th century:
