Statutory birth registration only started in Ireland in 1864. I searched 1864 to 1875 and found Mary (25.7.1867 in Turmennan) and Francis, but not Thomas or Martha. I suspect therefore both were born pre 1.1.1864.  They might be in church baptism records though.

This looks like Michael’s death in Killyleagh in 1881:

Tradition was to marry in the bride’s church which in this case was Inch Church of Ireland. Their records start in 1767, so that may be where you would find Eliza’s baptism and that of any siblings. The records don’t appear to be on-line anywhere but there is a copy in PRONI in Belfast. Personal visit required to view them.

Eliza Crickard and Michael Traynor were Catholics. Do you happen to know the years Catholic Parish records in Inch are available? Thank you so much.

The 1855 marriage was a Church of Ireland ceremony (ie Protestant) in Inch Church of Ireland, suggesting that Eliza was Anglican. At that time anyway. So possibly a mixed marriage?

The civil parish of Inch is in the RC parish of Kilmore. Their records start in 1837. They are on the rootsireland site (subscription).

This is fascinating. Perhaps it was a mixed marriage however that information did not trickle down through the years to our family!
