Hello,
Any information on James Michael Mann and family is appreciated. He was born December 18, 1879 in New Kildimo, Limerick, Ireland. I believe his parents were Edmund Mann and Ellen Mary Griffin.
Thanks.

Hello,
Is there a birth registration for Edmond Mann in approximately 1848? He died June 10, 1892 in Kildimo, Limerick. I am trying to verify the date of his birth and that his father's name is Richard. I was also told his family originally came from Germany in the 18th century.
Thanks,
Janet

Hi Janet,
My granmother was a Catherine Mann, from Ballyanrahan, Co Limerick. She was of German descent too. There are quite a few Mann families living in the Patrickswell area of Co Limerick, not far from Limerick city.
Do you happen to know more about the German ancestry? Why did they come to Ireland? From where in Germany did they originate?
Do you think there is a connection to the Palentines who also arrived in Co Limerick in 1709? The people at the Palentine Museum in Rathkeale say that the name Mann is not Palentine.
