I am trying to connect James and Bridget as siblings, which might point me in the direction of finding a sibling for my 2nd great grandfather John Kelly and his unknown brother and who their parents are. Also to find a connection to John Coen and how he might fit in the Kelly or McDonagh line.
James was listed in the 1900 US census as living with John and Catherine Kelly as a nephew and arriving in the US in 1899, age 23 born about April 1876. I have finally located the ship manifest for James Kelly! On the same ship manifest there is a Bridget Kelly who I believe is James' sister and probably a cousin John Coen.
Ship Germanic, Depart Queenstown Ireland 6 July 1899, arrived Port of New York 14 Jul 1899.

What I know about John Kelly and his wife Catherine McDonagh: John born about 15 Jul 1838 in Ireland (from his death certificate), married Catherine McDonagh on 6 Feb 1861 in Tuam, Athenry, Galway. Catherine McDonagh was born about Jan 1836 Ireland (from US census records, have not found a death record for her). I have the marriage record, but no birth records for either. They came to the US in 1863, settling in Kittanning, Armstrong, PA. I have a birth record for their first child,James who was baptized 21 Dec 1862 in Tuam, Athenry, Galway.
Perhaps my search criteria on ancestry .com and irishgenealoy .ie, are not correct. Having a hard time finding birth or baptism records for James and Bridget Kelly or John Coen.

I can give you are few leads.
The subscription site Roots Ireland has an October 18 1878 baptismal record in Ballinasloe RC church (born October 15) for a John Francis Coen with father John Coen and mother Margaret Browne. Sponsors Anastasia Coen and Thomas Scarry.
I looked at the Tuam records and there was an October 22 1871 baptismal record for a James Kelly father James Kelly and mother Honor Browne. He also had a brother John Kelly baptized in Tuam December 6 1868 with the same parents No record for a Bridget,
In Tuam, there were two Bridget Kelly baptisms in 1878, one in 1880 and one in 1881.
