Hi,
Do you know her occupation--listed on censuses, marriage record, death record, etc.?
Did she work in Ireland or another country?
It's not always so easy to determine employers. However, if a census listed her, for instance, as a cook living with a private family, you would have the name/place of employment.

Is this Alice marrying in 1896 and in the 1901 census? No occupation recorded on her marriage certificate:
