Edward Molloy 1804-1854 from Cavan enlisted in 63rd Regiment of Foot in 1827 in Cavan, served in India and died as a policeman on the goldfields of Victoria Australia in Beechworth 17/8/1854.
He married Mary Ann McConnen (India or Ireland?) and they had a daughter Mary Ann Molloy born Madras India. Mary Ann Molloy 1839/40 -1921 married Edward Daniel Sullivan (1836-1909) in Tasmania.
I am searching for Edward Molloy's birthplace as I intend to visit Ireland later this year and want to visit the villages from whence my great great grandparents came.
Born 1804, Killan, Cavan.
I have a reference to father as Henry Molloy and mother Ann.
Unfortunately this is not very detailed but it is all I have. I am hoping the Irish Birth records may provide more detail.

I can add that Edward Molloy from civil parish of Killan married Mary Anne McConnen in Bailieborough Cavan. Perhaps that will help find marriage record. Christine
