Attached FilesRalleigh - Denis - 1901 Irish Census.pdf (406.99 KB)
Campbell,
Attached copies of the 1901 and I911 Irish census for Denis Ralleigh.
Apparently he operated a public house in Cork on retirement.
He was active in enforcing the law in Ennistymon and Sixmilebridge.

Many thanks..I’ve visited Cork and the pub premises are now a brasserie..
my granny is the Bridget you mention.
Would the old RIC premises still exist in either towns?
would the infant Denis be buried in sixmile bridge?

Campbell,
The old RIC building in Sixmilebridge is still standing. It is now a Credit Union Office.
To see it you have to google Sixmilebridge Credit Union Offices, as the file is too large to transmit on this Site.
I have no knowledge as to the Ennistymon station now. From memory I think it was in Parliament Street.

Brilliant..
I’ve been steered towards a Colm Hayes here in Ennistymon.. local business owner who might be able to help with it.
would you have anything on Dennis Ralleigh senior ?

Campbell,
Attached a report of the undertaking Denis Ralleigh gave to ensure there would have been no increase in Public Houses in the area.
Small print which is difficult to read.
Best Wishes with your further research.
