Margaret Doherty of Coolbaun, Tipperary

My 2 x great grandmother was a Margaret Doherty. She was born ca. 1828 we think to a Maurice (or Morris) Doherty from Tipperary. She may have resided in Coolbaun in the civil parish of Templechally Tipperary (or Castletown parish Limerick?) . Her father was a Maurice Doherty. She left Ireland as a result of the famine and fled to the Isle of Wight in UK in ca. 1847/8 with an Indian soldier 15 years older than her whom she may have met in Dublin. She had her first daughter, Catherine in 1848 in Newport IoW and then married her partner in 1850 in a Catholic chapel in Gosport. They hade several children including Mary my great grandmother. 

I see that gibsonbj2 posted on 18.02.2021 about a family living in Collbaun who were evicted during thye famine. The father was Maurice and they had 10 children - the oldest Margaret born 1828. Was this my 2x great grandmother. The family emigrated to New Orleans in 1847/8 arriving February 1849. Was Margaret with them or did she stay behind? Are there any immigration records with her name on? I would love to know.
