Hello,
Looking for any information about Nell (Ellen Mary) Hennessy Born 7 Sep 1882, Henry Street, Tipperary. Have the 1901 census. 1911 census shows her at William O'Brien Street,
Tipperary West Urban, Tipperary, Ireland. Looking for death record. Parents James and Catherine FitzGerald Hennessy. Death after 1940 probably.
Her sister Mary Josephine born 10 Dec 1879 Tipperary. Looking for her death record also.
The family had a bakery at 5-7 Henry street.
Only hint I have is their sister-in-law was buried in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Thank you,
Anne

Did either of the sisters get married as I can not find a death cert in the name Hennessy for Ellen or Mary. Were there any other children in the family or do you have the date or place of Patrick's marriage.

Thanks so much for all your help.
I have Nell's birth - the same one you sent - she's shown as Ellen Mary, just not her death - after 1940 probably. I know she didn't marry. Shown as Nell on the census
I have a Mary Josephine Born 10 Dec 1879 . Don't know if she ever married. Found on the census as Josephine.

FHL Film Number: 256046Wondering if the Mary you found born 10 Dec 1878 is the same one or another child - maybe died?
Patrick married Katherine Barron 15 Sep 1925 St. Francis church, Tipperary.
Found Katherine's death 21 Apr 1947 Tipperary. Then Patrick died 22 Aug 1947. So sad. Don't know about children.
All the rest are correct.
The James you found that died 1896 I don't know - might be a cousin - sister's name Meehan. We didn't have a James as a child from earlier research or on the census' available.
Photo of Nell Hennessey - far right - clearly after 1940 - the gentleman is Nell's uncle Jim FitzGerald (brother of her mother) - don't know who the lady on the left is. Taken in Ireland. Jim emigrated to Chicago, Illinois, USA
Other photo is of Bridget (Bridey) - sister of Mary Josephine, Nell and Patrick. Taken in Dalkey, Ireland. She died 23 DEC 1959 • Balbriggan, Dublin, Ireland.
Appreciate all this work. Will be glad to reciprocate if you need anything from Chicago, Illinois area or NW Indiana or a few other states in the US - I have accumulated a lot of sources from all over, over the years.

Patrick's death cert, sad they died so close to each other, it appears they were both in poor health for some time before they died.

We did get information from the Loreto archives so we got a lot of information about Bridey. I did have Patrick's death record, but not Kathleen Barron Hennessy's. I do have her obituary - attached. Shows she was buried at St. Mary's, Tipperary. Patrick is probably there as well. If I recall correctly, the photo of Mother Brendan (Bridey) was actually a postcard she sent to my grandmother. There was another sent to her uncle Jim from the same place. She went every year I guess.
Thanks again for all the help. Poor little Mary!
After her death, they named the second Mary Josephine I guess. I know in my grandmother's FitzGerald) family they had a Michael who died as a child/infant and 2 children later, they named another son Michael. (from the Immaculation Conception records in Mitchelstown, Cork directly from the priest who kindly brought out their records for me years ago). Uncle Jim FitzGerald went almost annually back to visit relatives and sometimes he brought one of his sons but mostly his daughter who gave us loads of info until she passed.
With our previous information from the now deceased relative and another very nice lady from Ancestry, we have found out a lot about a family we only had stories and not the whole family.
We have a lot more than before! Really appreciate the help.
Feel free to ask for any of your group if they emigrated. It's always hard because of so many with the same name but our census records are more complete (except 1890 which burned up).

Hello Eileen,
Do you know of any library or history center that might be able to have a photo of the Henry street in Tipperary. Nell, Mary Josephine, Bridey, John and Patrick all seemed to be born there. The mother started a confectionary/bakery there and handed it down to the family. If I remember the town and street correctly, there were living quarters above the shops.
Thanks,
Anne
