JUST found out my g-g-grands were married in this town in 1857. Suggestions for finding information about them and/or their families of origin?
THANK YOU!

Eileen,
There is a tree on Ancestry that suggest that Patrick died in January 1884 in Ballykerogue, Kilrossanty, Waterford, Ireland at age 64. I found the death record on Irishgenealogy (free website).
4816179.pdf (irishgenealogy.ie)
Ballykeroge Little Townland, Co. Waterford (townlands.ie)
Ballykeroge Big Townland, Co. Waterford (townlands.ie)
Per RootsIreland, Patrick and Brigid had other children in Ballykeroge, Kilrossanty, Kilmacthomas, Waterford, Ireland. Mother's name was Caine/ Kane- John 1864, Edmond 1868, James 1870, and Anastasia 1872.
Regard- Mary

In 1851, there were Powers living in Ballykeroge, as shown in Griffith's Valuation:

Note there's an Anastasia Power listed in Griffith's. It's of interest that Patrick had a daughter Anastasia; perhaps the one in Griffith's was his mother?

THANK YOU, Eileen, Mary and Patricia!
All these pieces are helpful in solving the puzzle the Power/s family has left us. Four of the children of Brigid Keane/Cane/Kane and Patrick Power immigrated in the 1890s to New York. (Richard, John, James, Anastasia). John was my g-grandfather. He married a girl from Tipperary in St. Patricks Cathedral 1898. Found her in the church in Newcastle, and her home in Rossmore (well, the house had been demolished and replaced by a utility pole).
Am looking forward to a short August visit in Ballykerogue/Kilrossanty/Kilmacthomas area (provided the Aer Lingus pilots are satisfied with negotiated benefits).
Our family appreciates your work! Thank you!
HOpe you have a good summer!Ann Marie Bridget Lynch
