Thomas O’Brien m. Nellie Fitzgerald and I can fine them in 1830’s baptizing daughters Mary, Ellen and Catherine in Mitchelstown Cork. Then they disappear. I am hoping they are the parents of my Edmond O’Brien born abt 1845 but I find no birth records for him, or marriage records of his parents, whose names match the 3 Mitchelstown O’Brien girls parents. Edmond immigrated to NZ by 1874. Our family documents conflict on which county he came from Kerry or Limerick, county Limerick. I’d be happy to just know what county he came from. All suggestions welcome - this has been my brick wall for 30 years.

Constance,
I am unclear as to why you are trying to put Edmond into the family in Cork if some think he is from Kerry or Limerick? I looked on the paid site Roots Ireland, and there are only the three O'Brien daughters that you mention above in that family. The records for the RC parish of Mitchelstown, Cork go from 1792 to 1899, with a gap, 1802-1814; so if Edmond was a sibling, he should have shown up in the search. Do any of his NZ records give any clues to his origin?
Regards,
Carolyn
