My grandfather, Michael Joseph Murray, was born in Navan in 1895 to James and Janey Murray née Lyness. He left Ireland for England sometime between 1916 and 1920. His son, my father, and family emigrated to Australia in 1965.
This coming October I will be visiting Navan and surrounding areas to see if I can find more information on my ancestors there. I’d appreciate any tips on where to find resources that might help. 😊🇦🇺🇮🇪

In the 1901 Irish census, Michael and his family lived on Watergate St. in Navan. His father was a butcher. See here:

Thank you, everyone. There are a couple new ones there for me. I had the Census docs and their Marriage Cert. I even found a dog licences but I have never been able to find the birth records of James and Janey. That is where my focus will be when I visit, especially because my DNA results (via Ancestry.com) confirming that I share Janey with other living people as a Common Ancestor, and others for whom her father, Michael, is the Common Ancestor.
