For years I have been trying to find a marriage for Bernard McCann 1799 and Jane Heaney 1808 my 3great grand parents. I have not found one for any McCann and Heaney until yesterday. I found a record for ?McCann to Mary Heaney 2/5/1826 in Cooley. The only birth records I could find were from 1811 are there any before that date? Where would they be?
I suppose it is possible that it could be Mary Jane Heaney and I also understand that Bernard could be Bryan.
in the 1851 census they were in Yorkshire with 4 children Christopher 1832-1864, James 1835, Richard baptised 1/11/1836 in Drogheda and Bernard baptised 5/12/1840 Drogheda.
I would appreciate any help unraveling this family it’s been about 20 years to date always hoping more records will come on line. Thanks Sandra (Australia)

In 1833 in the Tithe Applotment Books, there were several McCanns who were head of household in Carlingford. Three were named Bryan, another Christopher. See:
