Trying to find grave of Patrick "Patcheen" Fahy, Cartymore/Carnaun, Athenry. My great grandfather. I'm also searching for his father's grave Philip Fahy.
I found Philips parents grave in the Abbey cemetery Athenry which was erected by son Philip. Yet I cannot find Philips grave or his sons Patrick's grave.
Would be grateful if anyone could help me in my search. Thank you
Annie

Could this be your Philip and his wife?

Thank you very much. Unfortunately no, that is Philip's son, named after himself. He is Patrick "patcheens" brother. I appreciate your help. I'm attaching Philips parents headstone which was erected by Philip.
I'm finding it difficult to locate Philips grave and his sons Patrick's grave. I've searched most graveyards but maybe someone might know where they are located. As you can see from photo he erected a big headstone for his parents in the Abbey graveyard athenry Town. So he himself must have a headstone somewhere around athenry. Any help would be much appreciated. IMG-20240622-WA0000.jpg

Annie,
For clarification. Information from Ancestry.
I think, if I have the right family, the 1901 Census shows Philip Fahey's, who married Delia, father as William. His grandfather was Philip. In the 1911 census William is shown having a brother Philip age 43. William's wife was Julia Landner.

Annie, not all burials have headstones. I have a number of relatives buried in unmarked graves next to a family headstone.

Annie,
On Ancestry, not always correct, there is a tree for a Patrick Fahey, born in Carnaun, Athenry abt. 1877 and died in Attymon, Athenry in 1960 (no records were included on the tree). His parents were Philip Fahy and Bridget Curran. This might not be your Patrick since his father, Philip, is identified as being born in 1823 and died in 1911. Based on Philip's headstone he was born in 1788.
